years’ experience of independently handling a craft of 20 horse power.

3. Syrang of Lascar [erstwhile Syrang of Lascar & Sukhani], Group-C
(NG)

Qualifications : a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized
Board or Institution. b) Two years’ service/experience as a Sukhani of a vessel
of not less 20 horse power. c) Knowledge of Storm and distress signals, charts
and compass.

4. Senior Engine Driver [erstwhile Senior Engine Driver (Steam/Motor) &
Engine Driver I Class (Steam/Motor)], Group-B (NG)

Qualifications : a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized
Board or Institution. b) Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engine Driver.
c) Not less than 2 years’ service on a vessel of not less than 225 B.H.P. as
Incharge.

5. Engine Driver II Class (Steam/Motor),Group-C(NG)

Qualifications: a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized
Board or Institution. b) Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver 2nd Class.
c) Two years’ service as a Syrang/Tindal on a vessel of over 400 B.H.P.

6. Engine Driver [erstwhile Syrang (ER) (Steam/Motor) & Engine Driver
III] Group-C (NG)

Board or Institution. b) Must have permit from Mercantile Marine Department for
Class III Driver. c) 2 years’ experience as Crew Engine Room.

7. Greaser Group-C (NG)

Qualifications : a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized
