Selection Procedure : The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Degree Course. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during May - Oct 2014

Training :  Training is scheduled to commence in Dec 2014 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Candidates finally selected for Tech (GS) Branch and Executive (GS) will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo 22 & 44 Weeks respectively Naval Orientation Course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, followed by professional training in Naval Ships and Training Establishments. Full pay & allowances are admissible to officers whilst under training. They will be on probation for a period of two years, during which they are liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory. Candidates finally selected for Submarine Specialisation, will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo 22 weeks Naval Orientation Course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala followed by professional training in other Naval Training Establishments/Ships. On completion of the training the candidates will have to pass Submarine Qualifying Board. The candidate who fail to qualify in the Submarine Qualifying Board will not be retained in service. In addition, the candidates will be entitled for Submarine Pay and allowances upto Rs.17500/- per month, only after qualifying the Submarine Qualifying Board. Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while under training will be discharged and shall be liable to refund full pay & allowances drawn by him and other expenditure incurred on him by the Government. 23. Indian Navy Invites Online Applications From Unmarried Male Candidates For Enrollment As Sailors For Artificer Apprentice (AA) - 136 Batch(Course Commencing August 2014) 

Educational Qualifications: Qualified in 10+2 / equivalent examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects; Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.

Age Limit: Candidates should have been born between:01 August 1994 to 31 Jan 1997 (Both dates inclusive)

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200- 20200.

Selection Criteria: Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.

Medical Standards: (a) Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.(a) Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate.Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.(b) Good mental, medical and physical health free from any disease/disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. Colour perception: CP II.(c) No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.

Training and initial Engagement: Training. The training for the course will commence in August 2014, with  Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch / Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
