नई दिल्ली। आईएएस के मेन्स एग्जाम के पैटर्न में 20 साल बाद सरकार ने बदलाव किया है। प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह से हरी झंडी मिलने के बाद यूपीएससी ने नए फॉर्मेट की घोषणा की। यूपीएससी के पैटर्न में बदलाव की जरूरत इसलिए पडी की सरकार के अनुसार नए अधिकारियों को समाज की बेहतर समझ नहीं है।

इस कारण जनरल पढाई पर अधिक जोर दिया गया है। मुख्य परीक्षा में पैटर्न में बदलाव के बाद अब 4 पेपर होंगे और सभी पेपर 250 अंकों के होंगे।प्रस्तावित बदलाव को स्वीकार करने के साथ ही इस साल की परीक्षा की घोषणा कर दी है। 2013 की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा 26 मई को होगी। फॉर्म भरने की अंतिम तारीख 4 अप्रैल है।

उधर, शिवसेना ने यूपीएससी परीक्षा बाधित करने की धमकी दी है। पैटर्न में बदलाव के बाद भी यूपीएससी के पाठयक्रम में मराठी को शामिल नहीं किया गया है। उनकी मांग है कि छात्रों को आयोग की परीक्षा में मराठी का विकल्प होना चाहिए। पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने नई प्रणाली के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन कर विरोध जताया।
