Kendriya Vidyalaya, is a system of central government schools was established in 1965 under the name "Central Schools". A body known as the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan oversees the functioning of these schools. There are around one thousand and one hundred Kendriya Vidyalayas available at different places across the country and managed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
