Norms for Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts :  Minimum SSC / Matriculate Sports Achievements Eligibility Norms : (A) Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup(Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways)  Championship (Senior) OR (B) Represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and at least obtained 3rd position. OR (C) Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR (D) Represented a Unit or District of the State in the Senior State Championship and obtained at least 3rd Position.

Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2013.

Examination Fees : a. Indian Postal Order for Rs. 60/- for Group ‘C’ post in PB-1 Rs.5200-20200+2400 /2800 (GP) and Rs. 40/- in PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200+1800/1900/2000(GP). Postal Order should be drawn in favour of Western Railway Sports Association, Mumbai which is non refundable. Postal orders issued before the date of issue of Employment Notice (i.e. 03/11/2012) will not be accepted, and such application form will be rejected and amount forfeited. b. Exemption from Examination Fees: SC/ST, Women, Minorities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) and economically backward classes candidates are exempted from examination fee. Economically backward classes mean the candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 50000/- per annum. The following are authorized to issue income certificates in given format ‘A’ : i. District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer upto the level of Tehsildar ii. Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha for persons of their own constituency. iii. BPL Card or any other certificate issued by Central Government under a recognized poverty alleviation programme or Izzat MST issued by Railways iv. Union Minister may also recommend to Sr. Sports Officer for any persons from anywhere in the Country. v. Sitting Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha for persons of the District in which these MPs normally reside.

Selection Procedure : All eligible candidates will be called for Trial. Only such candidates who are found FIT by the Trial Committee will be called for Interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
