Indian Air Force invites applications from Male & Women Indian Citizens as per Citizenship Act 1955 for the following courses commencing in July 2014 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Technical/ Ground Duty Branches 

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 02/2013)

Flying Branch: 14 SSC Course

Qualification:
Graduates (Minimum three year Degree Course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE/ B.Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

Pay Scale :
Rs. 66,110/-

Age:
19-23 Yrs as on 01 July 2014 (Born between 02 July 1991 and 01 July 1995 (Both dates inclusive)

Physical Standards: Height & Weight: Minimum height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight and leg length in the range of 99 cms (Min) and 120 cms (Max). Thigh Length : 64 cms. (Max.), Sitting Height: 81.5 cms Max-96 cms. Vision: without Glasses: 6/6, 6/9. Myopia-Nil. 

Note:
Candidates who failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test in an earlier attempt OR a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training of Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.
Technical Branch: 85 AEC/57 SSC Courses
 
Qualification: i) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)} : Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. 
ii) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.

18-28 yrs as on 01 July 2014(Born between 02 July 1986 to 01 July 1996)

Height & Weight: Minimum Height - Men : 157.5 Cms with correlated weight.
Ground Duty Branches : 136 GDOC/29 SSC Courses

Graduate Degree (Minimum 03 yrs degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate Degree/ equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together. Accounts : Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Mini 03 yrs degree course) with a mini of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com)/ CA/ ICWA with a mini of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together. Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Note: Candidates appearing in final year/ semester examination may also apply for all the courses commencing in July 2014, provided they must fulfill the following conditions:  a) Candidates should not have any present backlog at the time of SSB Testing b) Candidates should be able to provide provisional/ original degree certificate issued by the university latest by 15 June 2014.
 
Selection Procedure : All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) to be conducted on 25th August 2013 (Sunday) at one of the examination centers mentioned below. Candidates will be required to login to their candidate login accounts regularly for information of AFCAT and AFSB testing. The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and military aptitude.
