INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2011




Union Public Service Commission invites application for the Indian Forest Service examination 2011 commenencing from 9th July 2011.This examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology,Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possesses an

equivalent qualification.

Application Fee-

Candidate(expecting female/SC/ST/PH are exempted from payment of fee)have to pay a reduced fee Rs.100/- either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI using Visa/mater credit/debit card.

1300 Recruitment of Field Investigators in NSSO(National Sample Survey Office)

Applications are invited from Indian Citizen for engagement of around 1300 (Tentative figure) Field Investigators on contract basis all over the country for a period ending 31.03.2012. The selected candidates will be responsible for field Surveys of NSSO and would be placed at one of the Notional Sub Regional Office/Sub Regional Office indicated at Column 4 of Annexure.

Essential Qualification:

(a) Graduate degree with Statistics/Economics/Mathematics as one of the papers at degree level.

(b) Fluency in English and local language (as per choice of Region).

(c) Knowledge of computer applications like MS office etc.

Procedure to Apply: Interested candidates may send their application in the prescribed format along with Self-Addressed duly stamped envelope to the Deputy Director General of the Regional Office concerned as per details given in Column 3 of Annexure.
