(i) | Irrigation Department | Assistant Engineer Civil/Mechanical- Must possess a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering as the case may be, from an Institution or University recognised by the Government; or, be a qualified Associate Member of the Institution of Engineer (India) Civil Engineering Branch or Mechanical Engineering Branch, as the case may be.Desirable : A candidate who has: (i) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) obtained a "B" certificate of N.C.C., or (iii) Successfully completed one year training as trainee, shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment. |
(ii) | Minor Irrigation Department | Agriculture/Civil/ Mechanical - Must possess a Bachelor degree in Agricultural/Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a degree recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto or has passed Associate Membership Examination in Section "A" and "B" in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from Institution of Engineers (India).Desirable : A candidate who has: (i) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) obtained a "B" certificate of N.C.C. shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment |
(iii) | Rural Engineering Services Department | Assistant Engineer- Civil/Electrical Must possess (A) a Bachelor degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an Institution or University recognised by the Government; or (B) has passed Associate Membership Examination in Section "A" and "B" in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from Institution ofEngineers(India). Desirable : A candidate who has: (i) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) obtained a "B" certificate of N.C.C., shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment |
(iv) | Public Works Department (P.W.D.) | Assistant Engineer- Civil Must possess a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. Desirable : A candidate who has: (i) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) obtained a "B" certificate of National Cadet Corps or (iii) Successfully completed one year Training as trainee of U.P. Public Works Department, shall other things being equal be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment |
(v) | Land Development and Water Resources Department | Bhoomi Sanrakshan Adhikari/ Technical Oficer Must possess Bachelor degree in Agricultural/Civil Engineering from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Govt. as equivalent thereto. Desirable : Diploma in Soil Conservation and Water Management. (i) A candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, OR (ii) obtained a "B"certificate of N.C.C., shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment |
(vi) | Ground Water Department | Assistant Engineer- Civil/Mechanical- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institution or a University established by law in India or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) (Civil Engineering Branch)/a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institution or a University established by law in India or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) (Mechanical Engineering Branch) as the case may be, or a degree recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. Desirable : (i) Post-graduate diploma in Hydrology; (ii) Two years' experience of ground water investigation and exploration. A candidate who has: (i) Obtained a preferential qualification as mentioned above or, (ii) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (iii) obtained a "B" certificate of National Cadet Corps, shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment |
