Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. invites application for the post of Lineman on contract 

Name of Post	Qualification	No. of Post
Lineman	i) Matriculation or equivalent  qualification and National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. ii) The candidates who possess higher education as Degree /Diploma in Electrical Engineering pass will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications as National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. iii) The candidates who passed successfully National Apprenticeship Training Certificate in the trade of Lineman. iv) The candidates must have done 2 years Apprenticeship in PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB.	1000 (General-500, SC/Mazbi/Balmiki - 125 (Including 20 EXM/DXSM & 5  SP), SC/ Others 125 (Including 20 EXM/DXSM & 5 SP), Backward Classes-120 (Including 20 EXM/ DXSM), Ex-Serviceman/ DXSM-70, Physically Challenged-30, Sports Person-20, Freedom Fighter-10)

Age Limit : 18 to 39 years as on 1.1.2014

Fee (Non Refundable) : The candidate is required to deposit the fee plus Bank charges along with challan in any Branch of SBOP as per the details given below:-

Selection Process : Selection will be made purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The percentag e marks obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2nd decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications
